Can you really create your future?

I have know of the power of visualization for years, particularly of the power of dream charts. however, I had not put it into practice till I began this course of self development. I did my research on the net and came up with a great tool that helped me make a digital version for my computer.

It was something I made with the full faith that it would work, yet I needed some sign to show it really does work. I had put up a picture of a gray Volvo S80 as one of my dream cars. Now, let me put for this into perspective for you all - I live in a relatively small town where I have not seen any Volvo s80 before and they are not a likely choice for majority of the residents. The very next day, I was going home for lunch and on the way home, guess what I saw? That's right - a gray Volvo S80, parked off the road just where I pass everyday on my my way home for lunch! I am pretty much sure now that the law of attraction does work and i am going to update you all as the journey continues.

weekly routine works well

I've been playing around with the whole weekly routine i had mentioned in an earlier post and it seems to working quite well. it allows me to focus on a particular aspect of my life and i then use the other blogs and the web to improve where required.
This has led me to wake up at 6.10 am instead of 7.00 am earlier, helped me organise my finances, clear clutter from the house and my office desk and so on.
It is an ongoing process, where i find that i slip up as much i make progress. however, at the end of the day, i have the satisfaction of seeing at least some things done, which would have remained as they were had i not been on this course of self improvement. my main motivation is to be a role model for my son, who should have a head start in life and not be a slack person.today being friday, i focused on health and and am having a good look at my food intake to see if i can make changes to get a better nutritional intake.

Baby step's begin

Today i got up half an hour earlier than usual. Friday having a focus on health, i did something that i had always been putting off for "lack of time". I got in 20 mins of deep breathing exercise and some skipping. Not alot by any standards, but it gave me a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

Organise your week to maximize your potential

I have got a great tip from the zenhabits website - i have now begun to organise my week to allow me to take specific steps in certain areas of my life which require improvement. My week is now organised in the following manner:

Mondays - productivity and organisation
Tuesdays - finance and family
Wednesdays - simplicity
Thursdays - happiness
Friday - health

This weekly program began today, with myself making a list of things to do and using the concept of 3 MIT's (Most Important Tasks); i was able to complete the tasks i had been dreading, leaving me with a feeling of achievement and fulfilment.

I intend to continue using the the to do list to organise daily and weekly schedule and improve productivity and organisation.

I'll check some other excellent sites and begin blogging with the topics of the days above in mind.

The path to personal growth

I begin this blog in a effort to chart my path on the road to personal growth. I have come to realise that the only way to make the world a better place to start by making yourself a better person. With that comes the challenge of personal growth - getting out of your comfort zone and undergoing the most dreaded thing of all - change!

We have a saying that goes "the day begins when you open your eyes". I have now "woken up" to the fact that i must pull myself up to greater success in life through personal growth.

I shall put down my strategies and progress and this should be of help in giving a timeline of my journey.

Well, so thats a start!
